As the PDC World Darts Championship rolls on, we are left with just 16 players remaining from the original 96 player field. Reigning World Champion Peter Wright dropped in round three to the impressive Gabriel Clemens as his dreams of retaining the title crumbled.

Following wins over Ryan Murray and Ricky Evans, for the second year running, Michael van Gerwen's odds have been slashed to 6/5 as the world number one chases a fourth world title.

Gerwyn Price sits second following a deciding leg victory over Northern Ireland's Brendan Dolan, whilst Dimitri van den Bergh is third favourite although could face 'The Green Machine' in the quarter-finals.

Ryan Searle remains the only unseeded player remaining in the competition after dumping out highly fancied Belgian Kim Huybrechts. 'Heavy Metal' is 40/1 to take the title but would face a tough run of games if he is to lift the trophy on January the 3rd.
