Aside from the obvious big names in the competition, Martijn Kleermaker will again be looking to make waves after a positive first half of the season. The big Dutchman won the Wetfries Open and Classic double header before putting his name to the Welsh Open title a couple of months later.

He also secured a first TV win back in Blackburn, with  ton plus average along the way, he could be a real surprise package in a tournament packed with big names.

Some of the familiar faces to return to the big stage are the likes of Tony O’Shea, Darryl Fitton and of course Ted Hankey. ‘The Count’ made it to the final round of qualifying for the World Trophy but couldn’t get over the final hurdle, here’s hoping he makes an appearance on the stream this time around.

With two of the biggest tournaments in the BDO coming up in the next few months, this weekend is an excellent opportunity to see which players are gathering momentum going into the big TV events. You can keep your eye on the results by following @TungstenTales on twitter and following the stream on the various BDO social media channels.
